so today I am talking about some traditional Egyptian food
now with the most popular dish
(كشري) koshary
:Ingredient
For the Crispy Onion Topping
o 1 large onion, sliced into
thin rings
o Salt
o 1/3 all-purpose flour
o ½ cup cooking oil
For Tomato Sauce
o Cooking oil
o 1 small onion, grated
o 1 garlic cloves, minced
o 1tsp ground coriander
o 1 ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
o 1 can 28-oz tomato sauce
o Salt and pepper
o 1-2 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
For koshary
- one and half cup brown lentils, picked over and well-rinsed
- one and half cup medium-grain rice, rinsed, soaked in water for 15 minutes, drained
- ½ tsp each salt and pepper
- ½ coriander
- 2cup elbow pasta
- Cooking oil
- Water
Ingredients:
o 1
kilogram of lamb.
o ½ kilogram
Egyptian rice.
o Bread
cut into cubes and toasted in the oven.
o 2
tablespoons butter.
o 1
onion.
o A chopped tomato.
Sauce
Ingredients:
o 250 ml
tomato sauce.
o 2 cloves of
crushed garlic.
o 1 tablespoon
vinegar.
o 3
tablespoons oil.
o
Salt and pepper to taste.
